Holiday Inn Suva Introduces Hotel Self‑Service Kiosk, a First for Fiji
Friday, 10 April 2026 (Suva, Fiji): Holiday Inn Suva has introduced the first hotel self-service check-in and check-out kiosk in Fiji, marking a milestone in the evolution of guest experience in the local hospitality market.
The hotel has launched a self-service kiosk station, providing guests with an additional option to manage their arrival and departure more efficiently. The service is optional, with traditional check‑in and check‑out continuing to be available through front office colleagues.
Using the kiosk, guests can complete key check‑in or check‑out steps digitally, allowing for a faster and more streamlined process, particularly during peak periods.
The self-service kiosk operates on a cashless basis and accepts local and international credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard, with alternative payment options available through the front office.
The introduction reflects broader changes in traveller behaviour, with guests increasingly seeking convenience and choice, while still valuing warm and attentive hospitality.
For Holiday Inn Suva, the initiative aligns with the brand’s long‑standing commitment to providing dependable, welcoming and accessible stays that adapt to how people travel today.

The project was led by Akshay Chand, Portfolio Director of Information Technology, who was recently recognised with the Rising Star Award at the 2025 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards for his contribution to innovation within the sector.
Mohammed Feroz, General Manager, Holiday Inn Suva, said the introduction reflects both changing guest expectations and the brand’s long‑standing focus on ease and reliability.
